1. Lavallees Cookery 

Aside from high-quality meals, The Lavallee’s team is always baking up new things in the kitchen! Cupcakes, butter tarts, turnover, eclairs, coconut cream pie, Nanaimo bars… you name it, they’ve made it. Visit with an open mind because you never know what delicious treats you’ll find waiting for you.

2. The Point Restaurant 

Drool-worthy and Insta-worthy are the two phrases that come to mind for The Point restaurant in Sydenham. Dishes are made with creative flare and are big on flavour!

3. The Creekside Bar & Grill

You will feel cooler just entering this bar & grill with its stellar decor including a patio with couches and a fire pit. A great selection of cocktails and draft beer PLUS the best chicken fingers and battered fish you’ve ever had. Live music and a lovely staff are what makes this wicked spot a staple in your dinner favourites.

4. Wolfe Island Pub and Pizzeria

Lovingly referred to as The W.I.P.P., you could take the ferry ride to Wolfe Island just to enjoy a meal at this delicious eatery. A few highlights to get your heart beating: bottomless coffee, huge portions, great prices, and of course, PIZZA!

5. Wolfe Island Grill

Perfect for a Saturday date with that special someone. Take the ferry over to Wolfe Island to explore, and stop in at the grill to grab a spot on their beautiful patio. With a vast menu including chicken curry, pan-seared scallops and candy cane beet salad, you’ll feel fancy and full!

6. Limestone Organic Creamery

This organic creamery near Sydenham in Frontenac County is making its delicious ice cream using its own organic cream. Recently debuting its line of ice cream flavors, Limestone Organic Creamery is quickly becoming known for its incredible cool treats. Look for seasonal flavours! Try the chocolate milk here, too. Best ever!

7. Café Tenango

Finish your day on Wolfe Island with an ice cream cone at Cafe Tenango! There are many delicious flavours and selections of hard ice cream and yoghurt.

8. Mrs. Garrett’s Bake Shop 

Mrs. Garrett has been baking sweet treats from scratch for more than 30 years, and you can find her famous butter tarts in many retail shops in Frontenac and Kingston (they make about 300 dozen each week). In 2019, Mrs. Garrett’s daughter Dawn took over the bakery and the crew has been cranking up the creativity ever since.

9. Food Less Travelled 

A one-stop-shop for everything local and eclectic, Food Less Traveled in Verona always stocks its shelves with fresh local products, including frozen goods from local farmers, fresh baked goods like their Black Forest butter tarts as well as plenty of fresh produce sourced locally. Make a visit in the summer months for a scoop of their delicious Kawartha Ice Cream too!
