1.Savour the Chill
Soup’s on in Downtown Belleville! Artisan soup meets cozy evenings in the city with stunning lights and historical sights. Taking place Saturday, Feb. 24, the soup-tasting contest sees talented chefs creating delicious soups showcasing the flavours of downtown Belleville while supporting a meaningful cause. Downtown Restaurants compete for awards voted on by soup samplers and judges. Bring your own spoon!

2. Downtown DocFest International Film Festival
Fostering a love of storytelling through the lens! This year’s DocFest is dedicated to celebrating independent films and brings a unique cinematic experience to the community to inspire, educate and entertain. Including 50 thought-provoking and captivating films, filmmaker Q&As and even a gala from Feb. 23 to 28 – dive in to check out the 2024 program for the 13th annual event.

3.Kellylee Evans at Base 31
This musical enchantress will captivate audiences with her powerful voice and dynamic energy! See Evans on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Base 31 to experience an unforgettable live performance.

4. Paint Night at Waupoos Estates Winery
Get creative and make your winter more colourful with a paint event at Waupoos Estate Winery. On Saturday, Feb. 10 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., create your own wooden barn quilt painting, hosted by Barn Quilt Workshops with Laurie Totten. Celebrate Valentine’s Day by choosing from two beautiful inspired patterns – and enjoy a 1 oz pour of ice wine while painting.

5. Spirit Tasting at Russ & Co.
An evening of intimate tastings! Award-winning bartender, Robin Kauffman, and owner Rob Laine are welcoming guests in from the cold to behold Canadian and American whisky on Monday, Feb. 5 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Rums of the World on Monday, Feb. 19 at Russ & Co. Cocktail Bar. They’ll guide participants through the history of the spirit and host an informative tasting with some rare selections.

6. The Drake’s 20th Anniversary Barn Burner
Let’s Do Something! The Drake is celebrating 20 years in 2024 and is prepping to celebrate in style. Events are running from Feb. 1 to 29 and feature everything from epic live music, to art panels and a seven-course dinner – capped off with the return of the legendary Barn Burner Chef vs. Chef hockey game. What’s more: they’re celebrating all month long with throwback room pricing! Be there or be square.

7. Big Lake Art’s Concert Series
The first concert of the series: J.S. Bach’s long Walk in the Snow is set for Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Drake Devonshire in the Pavilion Room. Join CBC Radio personality and host, Tom Allen, together with an all-star cast of singers and instrumentalists, for an enchanting evening of storytelling, music history, and classical music.

8. Flashback February County Museums
Explore the future by celebrating the past! Get ready for an incredible celebration from Feb. 17 to 24 showcasing hands-on learning, live demos, and engaging stories that weave PEC’s past, present and future together. Featuring a jam-packed schedule of workshops, performances, open house, trivia and much more!

9. Elevage Wine Festival
Celebrate wine in all its stages: tour through winery venues, sample wine and cider, enjoy culinary delights from local chefs that showcase techniques to survive and thrive in the winter months. Set for February 17 and 18, Elevage promises an intriguing winter wine route that allows guests to visit numerous producers in a single weekend.

Lennox & Addington

10. Meet the Creatures that Thrive in the Dark
This Night at the Museum of Lennox & Addington on Tuesday, Feb. 6 takes visitors on an up close and personal exploration of nocturnal animals through the lens of Canadian Geographic award winner photographer, Bill Bickle. Best suited for people 13+, Bickle will also be awarding a lucky attendee with one of his canvas prints.

11. Community Variety Show at the Lennox Theatre
Audiences rave about this event! The Community Variety Show at Lennox Community Theatre in Selby has made a name for itself each year. Set for Feb. 1 to 11 with a schedule that includes evening and matinee performances, this year features artist Michelle Hutchinson. Enjoy an evening of the greatest talent this area has to offer!

12. Newburgh Canal Bash
Horse and carriage rides, a hockey tourney, chilli, hot dogs, bonfires and fireworks! Sign us up! The 29th annual Newburgh Canal Bash promises another fun-filled and free community day to celebrate winter. We hear there will also be Famous Firefighter Fries and Canal Tails, too! Join in the fun on Saturday, Feb. 17.

Frontenac County

13. Family Day in South Frontenac
It’ll be snow much fun! Snowtubing, horse drawn wagon rides, skating and community! All activities are free at this celebration for Family Day on Monday, Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Frontenac Community Arena.

14. Stone’s Throw Café
Catch up with neighbours at this collab café at Hotel Wolfe Island with Haymakers Coffee! Sip on fine coffees or specialty teas and enjoy light breakfast, snacks and good company. Taking place mornings from 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. See you there!

17. Skating at Springer Market Square

Be sure to look for the Caesar & Co. On The Go Mobile Bar parked at the rink on Feb. 10 and Feb. 19 for spiked hot chocolate, caesars, shooters, beer and more! Feeling chilly? 18. Horizon
Eyes on the sky! Sit back in a beautifully constructed cocoon and gaze up for a captivating visual and audio display inspired by the sky. The Horizon installation at Springer Market Square kicks off February 1 and can be enjoyed day or night with different effects.

19. Stoked Sauna Co.
Relax and take a moment for yourself. Stoked Sauna Co. is back for its second season at The Frontenac Club. Book a guided sauna experience and enjoy appetizers and bevvies afterwards from The Bank at the club! Running now until early April it’s the perfect way to kick start your winter wellness.

20. Frost Fest in Seeley’s Bay
The ultimate community event to embrace winter! The Seeley’s Bay Frost Fest has been going strong for 30 years and is ready to celebrate on Feb. 2 to 4. With a bake sale and pie contest, bingo, loads of kids activities, ice fishing derby, alpaca farm tours, ball hockey tournament, maple taffy, big craft market and more it’s always a fun time to usher in February!

21. Family Day at the Thousand Islands Boat Museum
Warm up with a hot cup of cocoa and plenty of fun family activities on Monday, Feb. 19, at the Thousand Islands Boat Museum! This year marks the 8th annual event, including wagon rides and even a take home boat building craft competition. We hear there will also be face painting and a visit from the Ice Queen next door at the 1000 Islands History Museum. Chart your course for fun!

22. Writers Retreat at Pangea House
Write, relax and find inspiration in Gananoque 1000 Islands! The Writer’s Retreat from Feb. 23 to 25 gives space to explore your creativity. With three authors booked, a workshop, networking and gourmet meals, this is an event not to be missed.

23. Canadian Songbook: Cabaret Music Series
Get  your toes tapping and your hands clapping for a host of great Canadian songs reliving the hits! Pull up a chair on Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m. at the Firehall Theatre in Gananoque.

24. Froid D’Art, Downtown Kemptville
An exquisite display of paintings throughout February embedded in 300 lb blocks of ice illuminated at night in Rotary Park, showcasing the talent and creativity of North Grenville Arts Guild artists. The event promises to be a unique and enchanting experience that captures the magic of the season!

25. Kemptville Snowmobile Klub Snowarama
Breakfast then a 100 km rally with special events planned throughout the day! The Kemptville Snowarama is in support of Easter Seals Kids and set for Sunday, February 4 at the fire hall on County Road 44. Register online or in person at the fire hall! All riders must have a trail permit.

26. Kemptville Winter Carnival
Celebrate the wonder of winter at the Kemptville Winter Carnival Feb. 9 to 10 at Riverside Park! Enjoy a weekend of outdoor fun and entertainment where you’ll taste wintery treats, watch the fire dancers, see snow sculptures, find fun with a scavenger hunt, fire pits, music, skating, costume races and much more! 

Brockville

27. Leylet Hob, A Night of Love
Aaluyah Belly Dance is presenting  this celebration of the season of love! See four crowd favourites performing on Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. at the Brockville Arts Hub located inside St. John’s United Church. Tickets are $25. Limited seating!

28. Live Music at the Brockville Arts Centre
February is meant for music! The Brockville Arts Centre stage heats up with four amazing tributes this month: starting with The Essence of Cohen on Feb. 4; then The Elvis Concert on Feb. 10; Abbamania and Night Fever on Feb. 15 and finally Hells Bells, a tribute to ACDC on Feb. 17. 29. Brockville Winter Classic Weekend

Meet the professionals and find out about current trends at the Brockville Wedding Show! Cornwall

32. Cline House Gallery Annual Juried Show
See works from more than 50 amazing artists at this popular and anticipated annual juried show at The Cline House Gallery. Running until March 2, the exhibit is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the gallery at 204 Second St. E. in Downtown Cornwall. Admission is free so cast your vote for the 2024 People’s Choice Award!

33. Kinsmen Family Day in Cornwall
Pancake Breakfast, public skating and swimming are on the agenda for an active family day in Cornwall! From 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 19 the Cornwall Civic Complex will be the site of a free pancake breakfast hosted by the Kinsmen Club of Cornwall! Then from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ed Lumley Arena is free public skating. Next up, dive into some fun from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cornwall Aquatic Centre. Everyone is welcome!

34. Seaway Valley Theatre presents Mary Poppins
The beloved tale of Mary Poppins takes to the stage in mid-February at Cornwall’s Aultsville Theatre! The Seaway Valley Theatre presents this classic storyline and audiences watch Mary Poppins take the children on many magical adventures while having a profound effect on the whole Banks family. Performances start Feb. 16, 17, 22-24 at 7:30 p.m., while Feb. 18 and 19 showtimes are matinees at 2 p.m.

Prescott & Russell

35. Family Fun Festival in Embrun
This annual Family Fun Festival at Camille Piche Community Centre in Embrun is set for Feb. 10 and 11! Look for Meet the Keepers Wildlife Rescue, as they continue on their mission to educate, rescue and rehabilitate wildlife. Inflatables, 100 ft interactive display, wildlife shows, life size walking dinosaurs, mascots, activities and vendors on site to satisfy those sweet tooths! All the proceeds will go to help Meet the Keepers Wildlife Rescue.

36. Whiskey Wonderland
Lift your spirits! Whiskey Wonderland is taking over the Hammond Golf & Country Club, February 22 to 24 for a weekend-long event that will bring 500 whisky lovers from all over the country to enjoy vendors, speakers, classes, activities, live music, outdoor fires, sleigh rides, outdoor cigar lounge and so much more. It’s set to be South Eastern Ontario’s newest and largest whiskey event!
