Day 1: Bay of Quinte

If you’re looking for a winter playground, then you must begin your trip at Batawa Ski Hill in the Bay of Quinte. Spend time on the hills, or take a lesson to get started. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, Batawa Ski Hill allows the public to enjoy their multi-use trail network free of charge for winter hiking, skinning, winter biking, and snowshoeing. No shoes? No problem! Rent snowshoes and ski gear on-site.

Tickle your tastebuds over a meal at one of the Bay of Quinte’s restaurants before settling in for the evening.

Day 2: Prince Edward County

After breakfast, head over to Prince Edward County and feed your mind and soul by delving into the art scene. The Arts Trail is a year-round, self-guided ‘choose your own adventure’ tour of artist studios and galleries, featuring sculpture, visual arts, photography, and more.

After a rest, it’s off to Three Dog Winery or Sugarbush Vineyards to snowshoe, ski, or walk their vineyard trails. Head back to the tasting room for a well-deserved sip and savour – and maybe even a bonfire. Continue the day by warming up at Prince Edward County’s wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Or, visit the 10 kilometres of trails at Sandbanks Provincial Park to get your steps in. Wind down in the evening at one of Prince Edward County’s restaurants and accommodations.

Day 3: Lennox & Addington

Start the day by taking the ferry over to Amherst Island and experience the magic of birding in winter! Lennox and Addington’s Amherst Island is known for being one of the top spots to birdwatch in the wintertime due to the large number of hawks, owls, and waterfowl that live on this island. Walk hand in hand during a stroll in the Owl Woods.

Recharge over lunch at any of a growing number of vibrant restaurants in Lennox & Addington. Indulge your taste buds and get your caffeine fix at Ellena’s Café;  The Keto Bakery; The Blue Door Bakery & Café, and Coffee Cravings all in Napanee. Down the road, the Abrams Bakery in Newburgh is worth a stop, while the Devon Café and the River Bakery Café & Patio keep Tamworth running, and The Lodge Coffee House in Bath is known for its new cinnamon buns and from-scratch goodies. These spots put coffee, culture, and community into practice.

End the day with some self-love and rejuvenation. A Touch of Wellness Napanee is your total relaxation destination. It’s truly a spa-like no other. Located in the historical Dominion Bank circa 1860, it’s in the heart of downtown Napanee, where sophistication, charm, and warmth collide.
