Park the Car and Hit the Trails in Picton
Bundle up the kids and hit the Millennium Trail for some snowshoeing or jump on your toboggans for some good old-fashioned downhill fun at Delhi Park in Picton. Don’t forget to show fur face a little love with a stop at Delhi’s Dog Park!
Still, jonesing for the beach? Summer may be a distant memory but bundling up your gang and walking or snowshoeing the beach at Sandbanks Provincial Park is a great way to bond and watch the sunset.
Time for Lunch
At the end of the Millennial trail at County Road 49, you’ll come out right across the road from kid-friendly Parsons Brewing. Enjoy lunch, a hot chocolate, and toasted marshmallows, then do a little skating on their rink (weather permitting). Finish your visit by warming up around the ever-present firepit.
Time to Check out The County Vibe
The County is made up of 9 distinct regions and each one is unique. Picton has unique shops and boutiques to check out. Venture a little out of town and check out the many kid-friendly Breweries, Wineries, and Cideries scattered through The County.
Bedding Down in The County
There are no branded accommodations in The County, but there are many unique stays that’ll add adventure and fun to your road trip. Experience a Huff Estates Winery & Inn and warm up to the in-room fireplace or check out The Drake Motor Inn in Wellington where furry friends are welcomed with ‘Woof’ beds.

Start Your Day
Check out of your room and break your fast at Wellington’s Good Place. Avocado Toast Scramble, Breakfast Bowls, and the popular GOOD Granola Bowl are some of the favourites on offer, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options on the menu.
The drive from Wellington to the Bay of Quinte just isn’t complete without a stop at the National Air Force Museum of Canada. With over 75,000 sq. ft of space and over 35 on-site aircraft, this aviation gem is a must-do for families. Plan on a few hours – there’s so much to see!
Welcome to Belleville in the Bay of Quinte!
All those airplanes got you hungry? Belleville has a thriving culinary scene that’ll satisfy whatever you’re in the mood for. If seafood’s your thing, it’s gotta be The Boathouse. Kids gotta have pizza? – Bourbon Street Pizza is where it’s at, or bite into a burger worth posting about at Burger Revolution.
Tobogganing next…
Let the sledding begin! It’s time to put those long undies to good use and hit the toboggan hills. East Zwick’s Park will keep it gentle and easy for the little ones, but if you’re looking for more of a challenge, check out Riverside Park for a steeper climb and longer ride. Go on, we triple-dog-dare ya Ralphie!
Bunk Down in Bay of Quinte
Check in to family-friendly Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton and let the kids take a nap while you put your feet up and relax a little before heading out for dinner at Chilangos Mexican Restaurant – it’s expanded 4 times so it’s gotta be good! Don’t feel like Mexican? Signal Brewery in Corbyville has a cool industrial vibe overlooking the Moira river. Or you can find a spot that satisfies your craving here.
