Here are 7 ways to keep active and stay healthy in Belleville and Prince Edward County.

County Bike Rentals 

Address: Free delivery and pick up available anywhere in Prince Edward County
Duration: 1-7 days

Prince Edward County is recognized as one of the best cycling destinations in all of South Eastern Ontario with its gentle, rolling hills and incredible scenery. And there’s no better way to explore everything ‘The County’ has to offer than by bike. County Bike Rentals is open seven-days a week and offers a fleet of 50 bikes for recreational riders including a tandem and dedicated trailer for kids or pets—a limited number of Revelo folding bikes are also available. 

Prices range depending on the number of bikes needed and duration of rental period. Reservations are required in advance and can be made online, by email or over the phone.

Batawa Village & Batawa Ski Hill

Address: 99 Ski Club Ln. Batawa
Time to set aside: 1hr–full day depending on activity

During the Fall, Batawa Village is the perfect spot for nature lovers and those who enjoy the great outdoors—hike or bike along the abundance of trails beginning at Highway 33 and wind their way through the village and beyond. As the season transitions to Winter, The Batawa Ski Hill is a great destination to hit the slopes for a day with the family—rentals are available as well as a ski school for the kids. 

Motorized vehicles are barred on the trails, while camping and fires are also prohibited. Ski hill conditions are weather dependent; be sure to call in advance or check the website before making your visit.

Bay of Quinte Charters

Address: 2028 County Rd 12, Picton
Time to set aside: 1–3 days depending on package 

Get hooked on fishing with Captain Scott and Captain David on the renowned Bay of Quinte. Owned by West Lake Willow Resort and its sister property, Picton Harbour Inn, Bay of Quinte Charters guarantees to keep your lines tight. Choose from a full day trip and two- or three-day packages including accommodations, and catch your limit of walleye, trout, salmon, northern pike and bass. 

Charters do not run during the summer and early fall due to the high volume of guests requiring accommodation services. Book your fishing adventure between October and mid-December—equipment is provided, but you are required to hold an Ontario fishing licence. 

We Thrive Wellness Centre

Duration: 1hr–2hrs 

Located in the heart of downtown Belleville, We Thrive Wellness Centre is a complete holistic facility featuring a warm, safe and comforting environment. Focused on development community and personal growth, the centre provides guests with an array of wellness services including esthetic and spa treatments, yoga and meditation classes, as well as registered massage therapy sessions. 

Additional services include counselling and psychotherapy, Reiki and crystal healing, and self-love life coaching. Classes and events are offered in-person and virtually with all appointments booked in advance online, over the phone or by email.

Beauty Works Day & Medi Spa

Address: 615 Sidney St., Belleville
Duration: 1hr–full day depending on service or package selected 

Established in 1977, Beauty Works Day & Medi Spa is a fixture for healthy living in Belleville. Committed to delivering an unparalleled wellness experience to guests, the spa provides a variety of services to men and women. Enjoy the serene atmosphere;sit back and relax as you’re pampered by registered massage therapists, specialized electrolysis technicians and expert aestheticians.

Quinte Mind and Body

Duration: 1hr–2hrs

Quinte Mind and Body is a wellness clinic designed to treat your physical ailments while offering services to heal your mind and soul. Celebrating their fifth anniversary in 2020, Quinte Mind and Body provides registered massage therapy and acupuncture treatments, mobility training and yoga practices, as well as a range of psychotherapy and counselling sessions.

Bacovan Golf Club

Address: 1412 County Rd. 64 Carrying Place
Duration: Up to 5hrs

Conveniently nestled between Brighton and Prince Edward County, Barcovan is a semi-private, 18-hole golf course known for its fast greens and challenging design. Considered “the next best thing to golf in PEI,” Barcovan features water on more than ten holes, league play for men and women, and plays host to a variety of professional tournaments. After the game, drop by the fully licensed Tudor-style clubhouse for a well-earned bite to eat—be sure to try their famous Barcovan Burger. 

Memberships are available throughout the season, while tee times must be booked in advance for non-members—check the website for updates on specials, lessons and availability.
