The Ontario Parks Fall Colour map is your key to finding these vibrant pockets of nature. This interactive map tracks the changing colours within provincial parks across Ontario. Each park is marked with a leaf icon, the color of which ranges from brilliant green to deep red.

The map categorizes regions based on the average color change, making it easy for you to plan your leaf-peeping adventure. South Eastern Ontario typically reaches its peak fall colors in October.

Several factors influence the timing and intensity of the fall foliage, including temperature, moisture, frost, wind, and precipitation. Keep in mind that these elements can affect when the leaves fall and how rapidly their colors change.

Here’s some of what you can expect to see as the region of South Eastern Ontario transforms.
